The change of ownership to Catholic Healthcare follows a review of services by the Society’s Trustees and a decision to re-focus on its core activity of caring for the most marginalised in the community including homeless people and people with a mental illness.
Mr Chris Rigby, Managing Director, said Catholic Healthcare was privileged to accept responsibility from the Society for managing and caring for many people who currently live in their residential care and seniors living communities.
The transition of these new ministries significantly increases Catholic Healthcare’s size. Today, we provide care and support to sick, frail, elderly and marginalised people through 38 residential aged care services, 10 seniors living communities, three district and community hospitals, as well as, serving more than 2000 people in their homes through community care services.
With our recent growth, Catholic Healthcare is now positioned as the largest Catholic provider of residential and community aged care services in Australia.
We welcome our new colleagues to the Catholic Healthcare community.
